The scheduled task (cron) and what depends on it
Reminders, expirations, webhook retries, SMS, calendars and subscriptions depend on a task that runs every 5 to 10 minutes.
What it is for
Understand why several features stop at the same time when the scheduled task stops running. This concerns the server administrator.
Before you start
Access to the hosting (platform administrator).
Step by step
- Schedule the command
php /path/cron.phpevery 5 to 10 minutes. - What depends on this task: appointment reminders (24 h and 1 h); expiry of pending payments and release of single-use links; before/after automations; SMS reminders; waiting-list promotion and session reminders; webhook and connector retries; send queue to Google Calendar/Outlook; subscription reminders and automatic renewals.
Expected result
The command’s output is a short JSON {"rappels":…,"webhooks":…,"connecteurs":…}.
Tips
- Typical symptom of a stopped task: reminders, SMS, webhooks and calendar events are all missing at once.
Common problems
- Several owners report missing reminders.
- Escalate to the administrator: the scheduled task has probably stopped.
- Pending bookings do not expire.
- Same cause.
