Connect Stripe (bank cards)

Stripe secret key and webhook: the money goes straight to your Stripe account.

What it is for

Accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards in CAD, USD or EUR.

Before you start

Owner role. A Stripe account. Account currency: CAD, USD or EUR.

Step by step

In Stripe, copy a secret key (sk_… or restricted key rk_…).
In Rendezvix: Settings › Payments › “Card payment — Stripe”. Paste the Stripe secret key.
In Stripe: Developers › Webhooks. Add the address shown under “Webhook secret” (it ends with stripe-hook.php?a= followed by your address) and the checkout.session.completed event. Copy the whsec_… secret.
Paste it into Webhook secret (whsec_…) then click Save.
Click Test the connection.

Expected result

“Connection to Stripe successful.” and the Connected label. A paid appointment sends the client to the Stripe payment page, then it is confirmed automatically.

Tips

Without a webhook, confirmation happens when the client returns to Rendezvix; with the webhook, it is automatic even if they close the page.
Disconnect removes the keys: paid appointments can no longer be booked by card.
Keys are encrypted and never shown again; emptying the field keeps the saved key.

Common problems

“Invalid Stripe secret key (it starts with sk_ or rk_).”: Copy the right key (test or live).
“Stripe rejected the key. Check it.”: The key is revoked, restricted or from another account.
The client paid but the appointment stays “Pending”.: The webhook is not set up or the whsec_ secret is wrong. See “Awaiting payment” booking: what to check?.
Label “Inactive: unsupported currency”.: Switch the currency to CAD, USD or EUR.
