Appointments and availability
Time zones: host and client
The client sees slots in their time zone; you manage yours. How to change each.
What it is for
Avoid time mix-ups: the schedule is set in the host’s time zone, and the client’s page converts to theirs.
Before you start
None.
Step by step
- Host: Availability › Your time zone, then Save hours. The tables (Appointments, Statistics) show time in this zone.
- Client: on the booking page, the Time zone: area offers a list; after choosing, click Change. The choice is kept for a year in the browser.
- With no choice, the page uses the time zone detected by the browser, otherwise the account’s.
Expected result
Slots, confirmations and reminders show the client’s time and time zone; the host sees their local time.
Tips
- The client’s page and confirmation spell out “Time zone”.
- A page link can contain
&tz=America/Montrealto force a time zone.
Common problems
- The client says the time is wrong.
- Ask which time zone is shown in the “Time zone:” area. They can change it themselves; the booking stays at the same absolute time.
- The host sees appointments shifted.
- Fix “Your time zone” in Availability.
